JUNIOR CLUB (years 3-6)
Some information about our JUNIOR sewing clubs
The clubs are open to children in Years 3-6
All the children use sewing machines from day one. We start with a simple project that is normally completed within the first lesson and move on to more complicated projects as the term progresses.
We normally complete 4-5 projects a term
We have a 4 year rotation of projects, meaning that a child could join in Year 3 and continue until they leave in Year 6 without ever repeating a project!
We can take a maximum of 8 children
The clubs are £15 per session and are paid as a full term
September-December 2024 Projects

TEEN CLUB (year 7+)
Some information about our TEEN sewing clubs
During the first lesson, the students will be taught how to thread up and operate our sewing machines before moving onto a project that everyone will complete. After that, they will be given a choice of 5 projects to work on at their own pace throughout the term. This will give the students experience in cutting out pattern pieces and following a simple pattern.
They can continue in the club for as long as they wish - returners will continue with a project they have not yet completed.
The projects are: pyjama bottoms or summery trousers, pinafore dress, hoody, duffle bag and a boxy top or dress. The students may choose from the fabrics available, or can purchase them elsewhere to use in class.
